This notice explains how the DEMOSCENE team handles information when you visit demoscene.space, create an account, or request an event at 560 4th Street, San Francisco, CA 94107.

Information we use

Accounts contain your name, email address, password hash, and verification status. We do not store your password in plain text. Request metadata, short-lived IP-derived rate-limit identifiers, and security logs are also used to protect the service. Booking requests contain event and company details, contact information, dates, timings, guest counts, equipment and production needs, food plans, accessibility requests, and team correspondence. Please avoid submitting unnecessary sensitive personal information.

Why we use it

We use this information to authenticate you, verify your email, manage requests and confirmed reservations, discuss production, send service emails, prevent abuse, and maintain booking records. We do not sell your personal information or use booking details for advertising.

Calendar visibility

Only confirmed bookings appear on the public calendar. Unpublished bookings display “Private scene.” If you choose to publish your event, the public title, event type, date and time can appear. Contact details, private descriptions and equipment requests are not included in the public calendar.

Providers and access

Cloudflare hosts the website, database, and infrastructure. Resend processes account and booking emails. Authorized DEMOSCENE staff review requests. Providers may process information in the United States and other locations according to their services and safeguards. We may disclose information when legally required or necessary to protect users and the service.

Storage and retention

The login cookie expires after 7 days. Verification links expire after 24 hours and password reset links after 1 hour. Booking drafts remain in this browser tab until submission or until browser session storage is cleared. Cookie preferences are retained for 6 months. Expired sessions and tokens are periodically removed; sent and expired email queue records are removed after 90 days. Account, booking, and audit records remain until reviewed for deletion; legally required records and backups may be retained longer. Contact us to request deletion or ask about a specific record.

Your choices and requests

You can edit or withdraw pending requests from My Scenes and request cancellation of confirmed bookings. Contact zhoudao@nlink.ai or bohansun@nlink.ai to request access, correction, export, or deletion of personal information. We may verify your identity and retain information needed to resolve active bookings, meet legal duties, or protect the service. Applicable privacy rights depend on your location.

Cookies and external websites

We currently use essential storage only; no advertising or analytics trackers are installed. See our cookie policy. Instagram and Nlink are external links, not embedded tracking widgets. Their own policies apply when you visit them.

Security and updates

We use HTTPS, hashed passwords, restricted staff access, and other technical safeguards. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. This service is intended for adults arranging events. If you believe a child submitted personal information, contact us. We will update this page when our practices change.
